Custom cable assembly
Aptiv cable assemblies, sealed and locked.
Pecko builds cable assemblies and harnesses on Aptiv connectors, including Delphi-era families still named on many vehicle and equipment drawings, with terminals crimped, seals fitted and locks engaged as designed, then tested to the plan agreed in your quote.

Overview
What is an Aptiv cable assembly?
Aptiv, formerly Delphi Automotive, makes connection systems first developed for car wiring and now also common in trucks, off-highway machines and industrial equipment. Weather Pack connectors use round terminals with individual wire seals, Metri-Pack covers flat-blade terminals in several sizes in sealed and unsealed versions, and the GT series offers compact sealed options. In an Aptiv cable assembly, each circuit uses the family that suits its load and exposure.
- Sealed and unsealed connector families
- Wire seals and secondary locks
- Common in vehicles and heavy equipment
- Built to your harness drawing
Features
Features of Aptiv cable assemblies
Many Aptiv families were designed for engine bays and underbodies. These features keep them sealed, seated and correctly mated in that kind of service.
-
Individual wire seals
In families such as Weather Pack, each wire carries its own seal, crimped with the terminal, closing the housing around every conductor.
-
TPA and CPA locks
Terminal position assurance (TPA) retainers keep terminals from backing out, while connector position assurance (CPA) locks close only once the halves are fully latched.
-
Terminal sizes by load
Metri-Pack families come in several terminal sizes, so a single harness can mix small signal circuits with heavier power and lighting loads.
-
Keyed, polarized housings
Polarized housings, and keyed variants in many families, help stop look-alike connectors from being mated in the wrong place on a crowded harness.
Capabilities
Building Aptiv and Delphi harnesses
Sealed automotive connectors only perform when every seal, terminal and lock is fitted correctly, so we treat each one as a checked step.
Seal and terminal crimping
Where a family uses individual wire seals, terminal and seal are crimped together, with the seal positioned correctly on the insulation.
Cavity plugs and seals
Unused cavities closed with the specified plugs, and mating-face seals checked in place before each housing is locked.
Secondary lock fitting
Every TPA seated after terminal insertion, with CPA devices supplied in the state your drawing calls for.
Harness layout and protection
Branches, splices and breakouts laid out to your drawing, then protected with convoluted tubing, tape or sleeving suited to the routing.
Genuine Aptiv components
Connectors, terminals and seals sourced as genuine Aptiv parts through our supply network, with approved equivalents only where your drawing permits.
Circuit and seal checks
Seal, plug and lock inspection alongside continuity and pin-position checks, carried out to the test plan agreed in your quote.

Applications
Where Aptiv assemblies are used
Aptiv and Delphi connectors appear well beyond passenger cars, wherever wiring faces water, dirt, vibration and heat.
Passenger vehicles
Lighting, sensor and accessory harnesses for cars and light trucks, including aftermarket fitments.
Trucks and trailers
Chassis and lighting harnesses that must stay sealed through road spray, salt and pressure washing.
Agricultural equipment
Harnesses for tractors, combines and balers that work through dust, chaff and wash water.
Engines and generators
Engine and control harnesses for generators, compressors and pump sets.
Specialty vehicles
Body and lighting wiring for emergency vehicles, RVs, buses and other upfitted vehicles.
Material handling
Sealed wiring for forklifts, sweepers and other industrial vehicles used indoors and out.
Quality
Quality built into every connection
Quality is designed into the process rather than inspected in at the end. Every program follows the same four steps, in an ISO-certified manufacturing environment.
Agree the specification
We review your drawing, materials and acceptance criteria with you before anything is built.
Prove the first article
A prototype or first article confirms fit, form and function before production starts.
Build to documented processes
Production follows documented work instructions at every step, from cutting to final assembly.
Test before it ships
Every order is tested against the plan agreed in your quote before it leaves the factory.
FAQ
Questions buyers ask
Can't find your answer? Send us your drawing and questions, and our engineers will come back to you.
Are Delphi and Aptiv connectors the same parts?
In most cases, yes. Delphi Automotive renamed itself Aptiv when it separated its powertrain business, and the connector families carried over with their names, including Metri-Pack and Weather Pack. Send the Delphi or Aptiv part numbers on your drawing, and we will confirm the current part before quoting.
Which Aptiv connector families can you build with?
We build with Aptiv and Delphi families such as Weather Pack, Metri-Pack and the GT series, plus other Aptiv connectors your drawing specifies. If the connector choice is still open, tell us where the harness will be mounted and what each circuit carries, and our engineers will suggest options.
Why must each wire seal match the insulation diameter?
A wire seal works by gripping the insulation. If the insulation is too thin, water can slip past. If it is too thick, the seal may not crimp or seat correctly. Aptiv specifies each seal for a range of insulation diameters, so we check every wire on your drawing against its seal before building.
How are Aptiv harnesses tested?
We test to the plan agreed in your quote. Typical checks include continuity and pin position on every circuit, confirmation that seals, cavity plugs and TPA locks are present and seated, and crimp height and pull-force sampling, with visual inspection against your drawing.
