Custom cable assembly
Turck cable assemblies for sensors and I/O.
Pecko builds custom cable assemblies with Turck M8 and M12 connectors: sensor and actuator cables, Y-splitters, receptacle leads and network links that connect field devices to I/O modules, each wired to your pinout and tested to your drawing.

Overview
What is a Turck cable assembly?
A Turck cable assembly is cable terminated in Turck circular connectors, most often the M8 and M12 sizes used throughout factory automation. These connectors link sensors, actuators and valves to I/O modules and fieldbus or Ethernet networks. Coding on the M12 face separates uses such as sensor signals, fieldbus, Ethernet and power, so a cable cannot be plugged into the wrong type of port.
- M8 and M12 circular connectors
- Coded faces for signal, data or power
- Threaded coupling that seals when mated
- Cut to length, wired to your pinout
Features
Features of Turck cable assemblies
M8 and M12 cables work on machines that move, vibrate and get wet. These are the details that keep each connection reliable in that setting.
-
Threaded, sealed coupling
Most M8 and M12 connectors use a threaded coupling nut that pulls the halves together against a seal, holding under vibration and keeping moisture out.
-
Coding for each job
A-coding is the usual choice for sensors and actuators, B serves some fieldbuses, D and X carry Ethernet, and separate codings are used for power.
-
Cable matched to motion
Cable choices range from PVC for fixed runs to PUR and high-flex designs for drag chains and robot arms, matched to how each cable moves.
-
Shielded network links
Ethernet and fieldbus links usually run on shielded cable, with the shield bonded through the connector to protect data from noise near drives and motors.
Capabilities
Turck assemblies we build
We build Turck assemblies from bare cable to tested part in our own factories, wired to the pinout and coding your devices need.
Sensor and actuator cables
M8 and M12 connectors terminated onto cable cut to your exact length, as single-ended leads or with connectors at both ends.
Splitter and Y-cables
Two sensors brought into one M12 port through a Y-cable, wired so each signal lands on the pin your I/O module reads.
Receptacle and panel leads
Panel-mount receptacles with leads cut, stripped and terminated for the circuit board or terminal strip inside your enclosure.
Multi-sensor harnesses
Several sensor and valve drops gathered into one harness, with each branch length, label and connector set by your machine layout.
Genuine Turck parts
Turck connectors sourced as genuine parts through our supply network, or approved equivalents only where your drawing lists them.
Pinout and coding checks
Continuity, pin assignment and connector coding checked to the test plan agreed in your quote, with shield continuity on network cables.

Applications
Where Turck assemblies are used
M8 and M12 connections are standard across automated production, wherever sensors, valves and I/O modules sit out on the machine.
Automotive production
Body shop, paint and assembly lines, where weld spatter, robots and constant motion test every cable.
Food and beverage
Filling and processing lines cleaned often with water and detergents, where sensor cables must stay sealed.
Packaging lines
Photoelectric and proximity sensors and valve terminals linked to I/O blocks mounted on the machine frame.
Material handling
Conveyor, sorter and automated storage sensors spread over long runs of moving equipment.
Process instrumentation
Transmitters, valve position sensors and field devices connected to remote I/O in process plants.
Mobile machinery
Sensor and control wiring on agricultural and construction machines exposed to weather, mud and vibration.
Quality
Quality built into every connection
Quality is designed into the process rather than inspected in at the end. Every program follows the same four steps, in an ISO-certified manufacturing environment.
Agree the specification
We review your drawing, materials and acceptance criteria with you before anything is built.
Prove the first article
A prototype or first article confirms fit, form and function before production starts.
Build to documented processes
Production follows documented work instructions at every step, from cutting to final assembly.
Test before it ships
Every order is tested against the plan agreed in your quote before it leaves the factory.
FAQ
Questions buyers ask
Can't find your answer? Send us your drawing and questions, and our engineers will come back to you.
Which Turck connectors can you build with?
We build with Turck M8 and M12 connectors, including plugs, sockets and panel-mount receptacles, and other Turck parts named on your drawing. Send us the part numbers, or tell us the devices, coding and pin count you need, and our engineers will confirm a suitable connector and cable.
Can you build cables for IO-Link devices?
Yes. IO-Link devices usually connect to the master with standard unshielded M12 or M8 cable, so we build them like other sensor cables, to the pin count, jacket and length on your drawing, within the cable length the IO-Link standard allows.
Can you match the pinout of an existing Turck cordset?
Yes. Send us the cordset part number or a sample, and our engineers will document its pinout, coding, cable and length as a drawing for your approval. We then build to that drawing, or to any changes you make to it.
How are Turck cable assemblies tested?
Each order is tested to the plan agreed in your quote. Typical checks include continuity, pin assignment and shorts, correct coding at each connector, shield continuity on network cables and visual inspection against your drawing.
