Overview

What is a Weidmuller cable assembly?

A Weidmuller cable assembly is cable terminated in Weidmuller connectors or prepared for its terminal blocks. The company is known for industrial connection technology: DIN-rail terminal blocks with screw, tension-clamp and push-in connections, OMNIMATE pluggable connectors for circuit boards, and RockStar heavy-duty connectors that carry power, signal and data into machines through rugged hoods and housings.

  • Heavy-duty connectors for power and signal
  • Pluggable connectors for circuit boards
  • Ferruled, marked ends for terminal blocks
  • Wired to your schematic and drawing

Features

Features of Weidmuller assemblies

Weidmuller connectors are built for control cabinets and machines that are wired once and serviced for years. These features shape every assembly we build with them.

  • One plug, many circuits

Modular inserts place power, signal and data contacts in a single hood and housing, so a machine module disconnects and reconnects in one step.

  • Choice of wire connection

Screw, tension-clamp and push-in terminals all rely on the correct strip length, and stranded wire often needs a ferrule of the right size.

  • Lever and latch locking

Lever and latch locks on heavy-duty housings keep connectors firmly mated on vibrating machines, yet release quickly when a module comes out for service.

  • Coding and marking

Coding pins in heavy-duty connectors and coding elements on pluggable connectors prevent mis-mating, while wire markers tie each conductor to your schematic.

Capabilities

What we build with Weidmuller

Cabinet and machine wiring depends on good terminations, so we control each step in our own factories and build to your drawing.

Heavy-duty connector builds

Contacts crimped or clamped into heavy-duty inserts to your pinout, then closed in a hood with a gland sized to the cable jacket.

Pluggable board leads

Wires terminated in pluggable PCB connectors with screw or push-in wire connections, so a board can be replaced without rewiring.

Ferruling and marking

Stranded conductors stripped and fitted with crimped ferrules of the right size, then marked so each lands on its correct terminal.

Cabinet-to-machine cables

Heavy-duty connector at the machine end, ferruled and marked leads at the cabinet end, with cable length and branching set by your layout.

Genuine parts sourcing

Genuine Weidmuller connectors and accessories sourced through our supply network, or approved equivalents when your drawing permits them.

Testing to your plan

Continuity and pin-mapping checks, plus coding and locking checks on heavy-duty connectors, run to the test plan agreed in your quote.

Why Pecko

Why OEMs choose Pecko

A manufacturing partner should make your program simpler. These are the reasons customers bring their assemblies to Pecko, and keep them here.

  • Expertise and experience

Wire harness and cable assembly work since 1981, across 20 industries and 25,000+ projects.

  • Quick turnarounds

Clear quotes, confirmed schedules and regular updates, from the first prototype to every production release.

  • High flexibility

Engineering changes, revisions and schedule shifts handled without starting your program over.

  • Cost-effectiveness

Design-for-manufacture advice, global sourcing and efficient processes keep your unit cost down.

  • Small and large volumes

From a handful of prototypes to high-volume production, with capacity across three factories.

  • Caring customer service

A team that answers technical questions quickly and follows your program from quote to delivery.

Applications

Where Weidmuller assemblies are used

Weidmuller connections are a familiar sight inside control cabinets and on the machines and plants those cabinets run.

  • Machine building

Machine modules that ship separately and reconnect on site through a single heavy-duty plug each.

  • Control cabinets

Pre-ferruled, marked wiring that makes panel building quicker and later changes easier to trace.

  • Process plants

Field wiring between instruments, junction boxes and cabinets in chemical, water and wastewater plants.

  • Solar and wind

Inverter, combiner box and turbine control wiring that has to cope with heat, cold and vibration.

  • Industrial devices

Pluggable power and signal leads for drives, power supplies and controllers built around circuit boards.

  • Building automation

HVAC, lighting and access control wiring between controllers, terminal blocks and field devices.

Quality

Quality built into every connection

Quality is designed into the process rather than inspected in at the end. Every program follows the same four steps, in an ISO-certified manufacturing environment.

  1. Agree the specification

We review your drawing, materials and acceptance criteria with you before anything is built.

  2. Prove the first article

A prototype or first article confirms fit, form and function before production starts.

  3. Build to documented processes

Production follows documented work instructions at every step, from cutting to final assembly.

  4. Test before it ships

Every order is tested against the plan agreed in your quote before it leaves the factory.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask

Can't find your answer? Send us your drawing and questions, and our engineers will come back to you.

Which Weidmuller products can you build assemblies with?

We build with RockStar heavy-duty connectors and OMNIMATE pluggable PCB connectors, prepare wire ends for Weidmuller terminal blocks, and work with other parts named on your drawing. Send us the part numbers, or describe the circuits and the environment, and we will confirm suitable parts.

Should I choose screw, tension-clamp or push-in connections?

It depends on how your panel is built and serviced. Screw connections are familiar and widely used, tension clamps hold without retightening, and push-in terminals take solid or ferruled wire without a tool. The choice sets how we prepare each wire end, so our engineers can review it with you.

Can you deliver cables ready to land on terminal blocks?

Yes. We can strip, ferrule and mark each conductor to your drawing, cut every wire to the length your panel layout needs and bundle the set in the order your team installs it, so panel wiring is quicker to install and easier to trace.

How are Weidmuller cable assemblies tested?

Each order is tested to the plan agreed in your quote. Typical checks include continuity and pin mapping, correct insert coding and locking on heavy-duty connectors, ferrule crimp inspection, marker legibility and a visual check of every termination against your drawing.
